There are few cities in the world that have such a variety of museums, galleries and exhibitions for the visitor to enjoy. When visiting remember last tickets are usually issued 30 minutes before closing time and many are closed for public holidays

British Museum

Founded by Act of Parliament in 1753, the British Museum now houses the new West on Gallery of Roman Britain and the Mexican Gallery showcasing the art and culture of ancient Mexico. Permanent exhibits include the Elgin Marbles, the Rosetta Stone and the Sutton Hoo Treasure.
