Visit Blenhiem Palace Gardens - Villages of the Cotswolds - Visit Hidcote Manor Gardens - Entrances Included

THE COTSWOLDS - Can proudly claim to be the most unspoit part of the English countryside. Its scores od hamlets and villages nestling into the folds of the wolds are all built of the local limestone of a warm yellow colour that has been saturated witht he sun of centuries. They are so much in harmony with their surroundings that they give the impression of having grown almost naturally out of each hillside.

The beauty of these valleys and villages is considerably enhanced by a number of enchanting little rills, streams and rivers bearing such sweet sounding names as Coln, Dikler, Evenlode and Windrush, whose banks are gaily bedecked in spring-time with kingcups, irises and other colourful wild flowers.
We will visit two of its most enchanting villages where there will be time for lunch as well.

BLENHEIM PALACE GARDENS - Is the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. It has a pleasure garden complex which includes the world's largest symbolic hedge maze, harbs, lavender garden and also a butterfly house.

HITCODE MANOR GARDEN - One of the most delightful gardens in England, created this century by the great horticulturist Major lawrence. A series of small gardens separated by walls and hedges, famous for rare shrubs and trees (Closed from Nov to Mar).
